The Gayatri mantra dedicated to Yama, the god of death and lord of the underworld. Yama is the son of Surya (the Sun) and is known as Dharmaraja (King of Dharma) because he judges souls based on their karma. This mantra helps overcome fear of death and ensures righteous passage to the afterlife.
