Rahu Mantra

Significance & Meaning

Salutations to Rahu, the north lunar node

The Rahu Mantra is dedicated to Rahu, the north lunar node (ascending node). In Vedic mythology, Rahu is the severed head of the demon Svarbhanu who drank the nectar of immortality. He is considered a "shadow planet" (chaya graha) that causes eclipses when he swallows the Sun or Moon.

Rahu represents worldly desires, ambition, obsession, and sudden changes. His influence can bring both unexpected fortune and sudden downfall. Chanting this mantra helps mitigate the malefic effects of Rahu, particularly during Rahu Dasha or Rahu transits.

This mantra is especially beneficial for those seeking worldly success, overcoming fears, and protection from negative influences and deception.
