Ketu Mantra

Significance & Meaning

Salutations to Ketu, the south lunar node

The Ketu Mantra is dedicated to Ketu, the south lunar node (descending node). In Vedic mythology, Ketu is the headless body of the demon Svarbhanu, while his head became Rahu. As a "shadow planet" (chaya graha), Ketu represents the opposite energies of Rahu.

Ketu governs spirituality, liberation (moksha), past-life karma, and detachment from the material world. While Rahu pulls toward worldly desires, Ketu pulls toward spiritual transcendence. His influence can bring sudden insights, psychic abilities, and spiritual awakening, but also confusion and loss when one is too attached to material things.

Chanting this mantra helps balance Ketu's energy, supporting spiritual growth while maintaining groundedness in daily life.
